Plugs and electricity in Syria
Syria runs at 220 V, 50 Hz, with Type C, E, L sockets.
Data status: references list slightly different sockets.
What you need, coming from…
Two devices that behave oppositely. A charger takes any supply, so only the plug shape matters. A hair dryer is built for one voltage, and the wrong one destroys it.

Earthed plugs in Syria’s sockets
A plug that fits is not always a plug that earths. Into Type C, Type E and Type L sockets, Type F or Type K plugs go in and lose the earth connection, while Type E or Type L earth normally.

What the two references say
This site grades a country by comparing two general references rather than merging them. Where they disagree we show both and say so, because a reconciled number with the disagreement hidden is the failure mode this whole dataset is built against.
